A God Thing

My husband and I are currently in an African country, and the way I came to see the video can only be described as a God thing.

We've struggled with the whole problem of working in a third world country, the corruption and mountains of red tape, and been very frustrated at times.  But we still felt like God wanted us here.

We were home in the US for a holiday, and my sister gave us your dvd as a gift.  I put it in my computer case and forgot about it.  Then we returned to Africa and arrived in the middle of a political crisis.  Our storage was looted and burned, so all our building supplies for the rest of the project were gone.  We could only go shopping for food with an armed guard along.  The project was at a standstill, and we're wondering what we're doing here.

Due to the extreme circumstances we evacutated for a short time.  Where we were staying, it happened that no one spoke English and there was no reading material to be found in English, either.  So out of boredom, I pulled out your DVD  (okay, I'll admit, I watched a Tim Hawkins DVD first).

I sat there with tears running down my face.  We were questioning God, why did you let this evil happen?  It is so wrong.  We don't know if we should go back to Africa or home to the US.  What will happen to our project?  But then I felt peace.  God is so much bigger than what is happening here.  He does care about how we feel.

When the photo of the world came on the screen, the picture is nearly dead-center on the country we are in.

I just want to thank you.  It came to me exactly when I needed to see it, exactly what I needed to hear.
